The Originator - Al-Mubdiʾ

Al-Mubdiʾ, The Producer, The Initiator

Al-Mubdi and Al-Mu'id are two Names that must be mentioned together, according to some scholars. They are not specifially mentioned in the Qur'an, but they are implied: “The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.” (Qur’an, 21:104) It is a reminder for us that God Almighty began everything, and He can restore it after it is gone, and so we should be mindful of the fact that we will return to Him.
